American Navigation and the Queen of H St NE

American Navigation and the Queen of H St NE

Welcome, welcome back! After the exausting treasure hunt of searching a queen in Queens in the city that never sleeps, we finally stopped at a local concert scene, to have a few refreshments and jump around in the club

Believe me or not, we had a lot of energy after that drink, compareable to the following video:

We started to meet a few lovely friends from Nick on stage:

and kept partying until 5am in the morning. Time to go to sleep after an excitement run through NYC, the city that never sleeps to find a Queen in Queens...

But the aftermath of the "redbull-energy" kept on going, and by some coincidence, hell a lot of people were starting to line up for the Jamaican Carneval, which starts at 5 am in the morning( which party starts on a Sunday Morning at 5 am? That s crazy) . I first thought Janell and Keidra played a bad joke on me

but people were actually getting started to celebrate...the only point which was left,

How do we get there, and join the party, before the Party-Done-Feeling came?

Since Ray Charles himself (you remember Kellen? :) ) Nick and I were traveling with three ladies (Janell, Keidra and Sydney * ladies feel free to correct the miswritten style), we took control of the navigation, before we start like this:

To do a basic american naviation, there are a few simple things I want to mention and point out,for future searches of  Queens:

DC is divided into 4 Quarters(North East NE, South East SE, South West SW and North West NE).
Horizontal Roads from West to East get a Number, Vertical Roads from North to South get a Letter.

If an american Queen would let you know, she s at 2nd&B St, you ll gotta figure it out to guess that she meant 225 B Street North East, otherwise you are in some other place :)

After figuring out that basic navigation principles( I leave out the Diagonal Streets, cause the get weird names like "Conneticut Ave", Constitution Ave etc.) we could use this knowledge to our advantage and reach the Jamaican Carneval before the sun rose:

Yes, the girls were so nice and left a bit color on me

We lost a few of our partycrew, @10 am in the morning
We kept partying until 10 am!, listening to amazing Carribean Music, Dancing ("take care Claude, the girls gonna eat you") (Party Done...leaving 5 seconds of deep breathing, until catching everyone back up again, and getting home.

On the way home, we passed by the inspirying pub "McLarens" of the famous "How I met your mother"-Series, but that is a different story, and left open to tell in a few years, when I ve found my Queen :)

A good start was on the next weekend, where I found atleast a princess, not a queen, but a princess in DC (who is actually doing her PhD), so let s see:
